A place like time’s moved on, but you’re holding on to the past?

A place where people are hurried, but you’re sitting in a hospital bed?

A place where trust & love once strong, but now shattered and wounded?
A place where used to bring peace & laughter, but now swirling in tears?

Ever been in a place like this?
A place where crowds cheer with smiles proudly captured, but now just a forgotten memory?
A place where KDX & RMX ruled, but now other priorities have overtook?

Ever been in a place like this?
A place where the head’s nodding & lips moving, but the heart’s sinking and drowning?
A place where the spirit’s urging forward, but the body’s frozen still?

How do you move from a place like this?
How do you remove images ingrained, eyes & smiles captured on film?
How do you remove life’s journey past?
Do you ever? Should you ever?

A place where nothing else used to matter,
except for the dreams shared, hand in hand, step by step?
Now a distant memory but forever engraved.

Maybe one day…I’ll visit that place again.

simply life…

It’s 1st Nov. Another year. Time swiftly moves.
In the year that past, it’s been a celebration of sorts.
Just as there is a time for everything, there is a reason for everything.
A reason for every laughter, every tear.
A reason for every joy, every hurt.
A reason for every love, every pain.

I’ll never understand somethings, but I don’t need to understand.
I put my trust in my God who loves me.
I pray that I may have power to grasp how wide and long,
how high and deep is the love of Christ,
to know this love that surpasses knowledge.

Love is patient and kind.
Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.
Love does not demand its own way.
Love is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
Love does not rejoice about injustice, but rejoices whenever truth wins out.
Love never gives up and never loses faith.
Love is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.
… And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is LOVE.

Father I pray that your Love will dwell richly in me.
May the Love of Christ radiate brilliantly from my life.
By your Holy Spirit I ask that fountains of Love will overflow,
into hearts that are lost, hurting and searching.

 

Triple-braided Cord

“Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

Through the motions of life, people go
Through the spinning of the wheel, people show
Through the ticking of the clock, people grow
Who will make it through, who will make it through?

Toils of labour will make it through
Beads of sweat will make it grow
Blood of pain will make the gain
Dedication of time will push through the rain.

It’s the passion with the commitment
that will cut through the motions.

Surrender for Success

“Success: the favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors”

What defines success? Who determines one’s success?
To one success may mean the attainment of a position.
To another success may simply be the survival of yet another day.

To one success may mean the achievement of recognition.
To another success may simply be that taste of clean water.

To one success may mean the accumulation for retirement.
To another success may simply be that sound of falling rain.

May I never be caught up in an idea of success,
that I miss the simple sounds of plain.

My life is not my own. It is a gift that was entrusted.

Year of the Lord’s Favour!

2007 is my year for increase more and more
Its my year for restoration as never before.

2007 is the year for my greatest barriers to come crashing down
A flood of God’s presence to be all around.

2007 is my year for God’s goodness to be out-poured
Every door that’s been shut will be shut no more.

2007 I decree will be the year of great blessing for my family and me!

2007 brings the end of the wilderness.
Wilderness of Manna for survival.
Wilderness where life depended on God’s miraculous provisions.
Wilderness of dusts, hardship, pain, long-suffering, tears.

2007 brings the promise land.
Promise land of Canaan.
Promise land of God’s Fulfillment and Faithfulness.
Promise land of conquests, provisions from the land, rest, love.

Struggles against the currents have been brokenthrough.
With a deep breath, and sun streaming on my back,
I will be swimming and riding the waves.
Its a new chapter, another new journey.
With the light of His Glory, and His Faithfulness,
I am ready ready for this new journey.
With His Spirit and His Strength,
I will dive dive into another deep deep calm.

Life’s a journey…

Its been a wild 2006.
Lessons learnt,
Emotions felt,
Encounters faced,
Have all but made a stronger me.

Heart stirred,
Passion flared,
Tears flowed,
I’ll never be the same again.

By the Grace of my Almighty,
graduation is in the horizon.
By His Lamp unto my feet,
another path will shown.

But I will Trust in Him,
the Author and Perfector of my faith.
I’m strapped tight for the next best ride!
